I am passionate about creating beautiful and functional pieces that will last for generations. I began woodworking 30 years ago when I started crafting furniture for family and friends. Today, I am inspired by the natural beauty of wood and the satisfaction of creating something that will be cherished for years to come. My workshop is located in the heart of the historic Shipbuilding District in Duxbury - the many shipyards employed some of the finest woodworkers and carpenters back in the day. I also love the story of each piece of wood and finding ways to repurpose fallen trees - giving them a new lease on life.

My process is rooted in traditional woodworking techniques and modern technology. I never get tired of a carefully honed blockplane peeling off perfect wood shavings. Or a perfectly cut piece of lumber using modern equipment . I start with carefully selected, sustainably sourced wood and use precision tools to create each piece. I believe that attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are essential to creating furniture that is both beautiful and functional. I focus primarily on kitchen countertops, bartops, mantels and dining tables and kitchen islands. But your imagination is my limit!
In addition to custom furniture, I offer a range of woodworking services including repair, restoration, and refinishing. I am committed to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that each project meets my clients' unique needs and specifications. Contact me to discuss your next woodworking project for your home, beach house, cabin and even boats.

In 1984 I matriculated at Yale College and graduated with a degree in Mechnical Engineering. After a couple of years windsurfing in Aruba, I joined the private sector until 1993 when I realized I needed to get my act together… so off to business school I went (at The Tuck School at Dartmouth). I graduated with an MBA in 1995 but more importantly married my classmate Pam and lifelong partner. We have three wonderful children and a dog named Hazel. Since 2006 we have lived in Duxbury full time. Alongside a career in mortgage banking, I obviously enjoy woodworking. I have also been ‘accused’ of playing a lot of golf. I still get out on the bay to windsurf.

I have been using Rubio Monocoat for years. A hard oil finish that looks great and is very durable. It is also easy to retouch in case you need to. It produces superior results with a smooth satin finish.
